Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 a2bdf7a825 The keeper's door asks for a key only root and the game's user can read, so another service on the host cannot re-seat anyone; the deploy makes the key once and the reseat script sends it from a file descriptor; and a seat link is taken out of the address bar with the browser's own call, since the page reads it before the router starts

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 8bbc41cc87 The keeper can bring back a seat a browser lost: a new token on the ledger, the old one refused, and a link that carries it in the fragment, minted by hnefatafl-reseat.sh through a /keeper door Caddy does not proxy and that turns away anything Caddy forwarded; the join page takes a linked seat only once the server accepts it and never over a seat this browser holds that still opens, a spectator at a game in play is told both ways back, the hall asks before forgetting a game in play, and the server's tests now run with the rest

Eric WagonerandClaude Fable 5.1 d32488b803 The nightly rollup and backup say by their exit status whether they managed, and the deploy leaves the cron file off a host the hall schedules
On the shared host the hall's hall-nightly.sh (game-kit, gamehall/ops) runs
both scripts for every game and checks in with Sentry Crons once for all,
so this game's own check-in files are absent there and its exit status is
the word. A box of its own keeps its cron and check-ins as before.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 9afe9333c2 An editing pass over the words around the game
The hall, the guide, the rules page, the lobby and the report slip lose
most of their semicolons, the statement-colon lines and the guide
narrating itself. The tagline is one sentence, 'a labor of love' is gone
from the about link, and the shared parts read as Waving Hands' do.

Corrected along the way: the about panel no longer says players are shown
only what the rules let them see (nothing in hnefatafl is hidden); the
game was played for centuries before chess, not a thousand years; the
report slip's example no longer mentions points; and a watcher is no
longer told that "your defender" was taken. The move story reads "Ada
moved an attacker from d1 to d4" rather than "Ada: an attacker...".

The end-of-game reasons are unchanged: ledgers record them verbatim.

host's access logs.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 57ae338cdb The rollup and the backup check in once, when they end, with the run's duration
The rollup finishes in two seconds on the shared host, and its "in progress"
and "ok" check-ins reached Sentry in either order; when "ok" landed first,
the late start was never closed and the monitor reported a timeout ten
minutes later. One check-in at the end cannot race, and a run that hangs
still shows: nothing arrives and the night is marked missed.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 fcf25ff4e5 The tally is told as Wiz-War tells it: the game's own story on cards, then the ledgers in detail
A few counts that are the game's story (games finished, how they were
won, hours at the table) stand large on cards in the accent color, the
rest follow in a column of figures, then the fine print: Tally.svelte,
shared through the kit, with each game choosing its counts and words.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 2d2a82034e The about panel is a dialog of tabs, as Wiz-War's is, not a wall of text
"About this game — a labor of love" opens a dialog with the game, the
tally, more games and a way to send word each on a tab of its own
(About.svelte, shared through the kit), instead of one long fold at the
foot of the hall. Arrow keys walk the tabs; Escape or a click outside
closes it; a link to #about opens it.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 7f19ec3ea9 Traffic counts what matters: rooms opened from the site, where links were shared, scanners and monitors as bots
- A room opened with Play now never loads /join: the API's answer to
POST /api/rooms is counted as rooms opened here.
- Link previews (Slack, Discord, Facebook, iMessage, WhatsApp and the
rest) are reported as where the link was shared, since the people who
click them arrive with no referrer. WhatsApp's fetcher is a bot now.
- An address that asks for a scanner's paths, or keeps coming back
without opening a game, is a bot's all day; so is a browser that loads
pages at a steady interval from a new address each time, never
playing. A declared bot is still judged request by request.
- The site's own addresses, sslip.io included, are not referrers.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 e3fcb19a22 A socket's own error closes that socket, not the server
A message over the size limit or a malformed frame raised an error on
the socket, which had no listener, and Node ended the process: one
message from anyone could take the server down until systemd restarted
it. The socket is terminated instead. Messages are capped at 1 KB, since the server never reads them.

Eric WagonerandClaude Opus 5.5 e961951f8e A move names the round it was made for; a stale one is refused
The room counts rounds played and sends the count in its view; a page
sends it back with each move, and the server refuses a move whose count
is behind (a slow connection, a second click, a stale tab), or that has
no count at all (an old page, told to reload). Before, such a move was
taken as the move for the next round. Found in Dip's acceptance run.

Eric WagonerandClaude Fable 5.1 e95a090ac0 A new table plays Tablut unless the host chooses Copenhagen
The declared default on the rules option is now Tablut, listed first, and
the engine plays it when no rules are given, so the hall's still, the
preferences' table default and a bare createGame agree. Tests that read
Copenhagen positions ask for Copenhagen; the Tablut layout test pins the
default.

Eric WagonerandClaude Fable 5.1 ee5690ebda A credibility pass over the whole repo: the board's mechanics in board.ts, one copy of each helper and stylesheet rule, the kit's plumbing this game never used removed, and the ops scripts counting traffic through one parser
The engine and the bot no longer import each other: geometry, movement
and captures live in src/lib/game/board.ts and both use it. The escape
test, the four directions, the king's neighbours and the enumeration of
a side's moves each exist once; the tally counts by the named end
sentences rather than by regex over them; exports nobody imports are
exports no more. The tests pin the bot's opening move and the three-
beside-the-throne capture they named but never exercised.

In the client: .small, the word-as-button, the × that dismisses, the
visually-hidden rule and the frame of the reading pages are in app.css
once; the preferences panel and the report slip share one modal shape;
the room store drops the simultaneous-round fields this game never read
and gains seatEmpty and seatUnheld, which the lobby and the join page
read instead of three spellings of their own. The wire shapes for
reports and the tally are declared in view.ts for both sides. The
artwork component is re-indented for the top level it lives at.

On the server and in deploy: the plaintext-token fallback and its
migration script guarded ledgers this game never wrote; the seat line
now requires the hash and the start line the rules revision. The route
table lists every route. The visitors digest and the nightly rollup
count Caddy's log through deploy/traffic.py, and the rollup writes the
finished-games count it had been computing behind "and False". The
reports digest is one program, deploy/report-digest.ts, that
pull-reports.sh and the desk skill both use. The deploy README, the
visitors skill and the reports skill no longer describe a browser-only
game, a /play route or a rules text in docs/; conventions.md carries
the kit's Preferences and tally sections.

Kit-shared files touched, to port back: server/src/{index,rooms,store,
tally,reports}.ts, deploy/{deploy.sh,replay-ledgers.ts,pull-reports.sh,
traffic.py,report-digest.ts,*-rollup.sh,*-visitors.sh,*-pulse.sh},
src/lib/net/{client.ts,room.svelte.ts,view.ts}, Preferences.svelte,
ReportSlip.svelte, TableTalk.svelte.

twenty tests pin them and play a bot game to a verdict on both boards.
