# 6th-Edition Verification Checklist — v3 (post card-face + board photos)

**Status update:** the owner's photos of the 6e rulebook and Expansion #1 rules sheet
(`research/scans/` IMG_4665–4673, transcribed in `research/official-6e-card-list.md`)
have resolved most of the original checklist. Membership and quantities for the 6e
basic deck (69 unique + 34 numbers = 125) and Expansion #1 (59 unique + 14 numbers
= 75) are now OFFICIAL and encoded in `cards.json`.

## ✅ Done (answered by the scans — no photos needed)

- ~~Full deck census / per-card quantities~~ — official rulebook + Exp1 card lists.
- ~~Number-card spread~~ — base 2×12/3×10/4×7/5×4/6×1; Exp1 has its own: 2×5/3×4/4×3/5×2.
- ~~Dispel Creation membership~~ — ×1 basic AND ×2 Exp1 (the "125th card" question is closed).
- ~~Bomb~~ — on neither official list; not in this collection (presumed Exp2/7e-era).
- ~~Trap!, Speedstone~~ — confirmed ×1 each in the basic deck.
- ~~Force Field~~ — official Exp1 card ×1 (the FAQ's "mystery card" identified).
- ~~The die~~ — equipment list: one die numbered 1–4.
- ~~Rulebook wording items~~ — first-round "no combat" phrasing, punch/wall(20)/door(15)
  damage, pick-up-ends-turn, door auto-relock, 50-50 junction rule, AUTO WARP details,
  LOS center-to-center (still references the dropped center dots), ADJACENT/L.O.S.
  markings, hand/draw limits — all confirmed; see rules-notes.md "RESOLVED" section.

## ✅ Done — card-face spot-checks (owner's photos IMG_4680–4683, 2026-08-15)

All priority card-face checks are resolved; cards.json updated with verbatim text:

- ~~BUTT-HEAD~~ — ATTACK, no LOS: turn into a goat, ram; physical damage = distance moved.
- ~~MEGA-MONSTER~~ — NEUTRAL, L.O.S.: doubles a monster's life-points OR movement.
- ~~GIFT FROM ABOVE~~ — rename from "Gift From God" CONFIRMED (NEUTRAL, no LOS).
- ~~DIMENSIONAL WARP~~ — rename from "Permawarp" CONFIRMED (NEUTRAL; rewritten text captured).
- ~~REDIRECTION~~ — rename from "Rewarp" CONFIRMED (NEUTRAL; rewritten text captured).
- ~~Wands~~ — WARP WAND and STICKY WAND faces confirm "Wand" titles and charge rules.
- ~~SKELETON / TROLL / WRAITH~~ — printed titles are the short names (no "Create ...").
- ~~FORCE FIELD~~ — face matches the FAQ-recovered text (card has printed typo "cating").
- ~~Number cards~~ — base-deck faces 2–6 photographed: NO rules text, just the value in a
  distinct decorative border per value. (An Exp1 number-card face was not photographed —
  presumed identical; cosmetic question only.)
- ~~THOUGHT-STEAL~~ — card face prints "THOUGHT STEAL" (unhyphenated); rulebook list hyphenates.

Remaining (optional): batch-photograph the rest of the deck faces to upgrade every card's
5e-database text to 6e-face-verified wording. Only 3 `uncertain` cards remain in
cards.json, all Expansion #2 (not owned): Load Stone & Fighterstone type conflicts,
Random's Card naming.

## ✅ Done — boards (verified by agent from owner's photos IMG_4674–4679)

All six layouts CONFIRMED EXACT with zero corrections, including the D and F doors;
each layout appears exactly once; perimeter openings verified on all 24 edges; the
"center dot on every space" claim was disproven (no dots on physical boards). See
`research/boards-verification.md`. Still historical-only open items: which 4 layouts
shipped in the base box (boards unlabeled; art style suggests E+F are the Exp1 pair),
which layout was replaced before 7e, board backs.

## ✅ Done — physical odds and ends (owner-reported, 2026-08-15)

- ~~Physical dimensions~~ — sector boards are **7.5 in to a side** (1.5 in per space).
- ~~Errata sheet~~ — **none** in the owner's 6e box.
- ~~Token/counter-sheet inventory~~ — DONE: full token set photographed (IMG_4684–4687),
      inventory in `research/tokens-6e.md`. 33 token types + 6 double-sided wizard
      standees + 12 color-keyed treasures. No numbered duration/charge tokens were
      present (cosmetic-only; digital tracks these natively).

## 📦 Expansion Set #2 — HISTORICAL ONLY (resolved 2026-08-15)

The owner confirms the 6th edition had exactly one expansion. Expansion Set #2 was a
5e-era product; its cards never shipped for 6e. The 85 'expansion2' entries in
cards.json are retained as historical reference with null quantities (the deck builder
can never include them) and their 3 'uncertain' flags are permanently moot for this
project.
